Applications

Type G-GC is for use in heavy duty service as a power supply cable for mobile and portable mining equipment, loaders, conveyors, pumps, drills and cutters, where flex life is required, and for systems that require an internal ground check conductor for added safety. Also suitable for continuous submersion in water – ideal for submersible pumps, marine application. Type G-GC is for applications temperatures from -40°C to +90°C.

Conductor: Bare, soft drawn, annealed, flexible, rope-lay stranded copper
Separator Tape: Non-conducting tape applied between the conductor and insulation to facilitate stripping
Insulation: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM). Color coded black, white, red
Ground Check: One insulated, bare, soft drawn, annealed, rope stranded, flexible lay copper
Ground Conductors: Two insulated, bare, soft drawn, annealed, rope stranded, flexible lay copper
Fillers: Paper fillers applied as needed to round the cable core
Tape: Reinforcing tape applied over the cabled core for improved mechanical integrity and ease of stripping
Reinforcement Binder: Reinforcing twine applied over the tapped core
Jacket: Black, flame resistant, thermosetting Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE)
